I have an HP 895 Cxi printer which is perfect except for a part that is
busted. I have had to remove the nylon gear-wheel that controls the cleaning
tray which means that the head is no longer cleaned and blocks up regularly
;o(

Does anyone know if it's possible to buy a replacement part or is this a
case of buy a new printer......?

I see 895's at local Goodwills, Salvation Army type stores all the time for
around $10-$15. .

Last time I looked parts were still available for this printer,
however I doubt that it's worth the trouble, it may be better to buy
a another printer and simply swap the whole service station from one
to the other; it's an easy job. The service station is the same as
both the 710/20 series and the 815/40/45, it should be a direct swap.
It's possible that the shaft the gear runs on is damaged so this may
be your best bet.

don't bother me with insignificiant nonsence such as spelling,
I don't care if it spelt properly
