HP 870Cse won't feed

For several months my HP 870 won't automatically feed paper. If I manually
give the sheet a shove for about 1" it will take it and print fine, but
won't fetch the next sheet.

Is there a problem with the rollers? Too dry? Coated with paper fuzz?

Anything I can do?

Try cleaning the rollers as shown at:
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/...&docname=bpd09177&lc=en&jumpid=reg_R1002_USEN,
the rollers have probably become coated with paper fiber over time.

Another solution is to use the same technique, but instead of water coat
the rollers with non-silicone brake fluid. Leave the brake fluid on the
rollers for a few hours or overnight, then wipe the excess off. This
will soften the rollers.

Do not use alcohol, sandpaper or other harsh methods on the rollers as
this can damage them.
