Hi,

My neighbor's drive failed but before he sent in I said I'd try to get the
spreadsheet off it so he wouldn't loose it when they replaced the drive
under warrenty. I have a usb2 external interface and power supply, but it
doesn't mate to the drive.
The drive's connections to the PC are via fingers that fit into receivers
like if you pushed your hands together with your fingers spred and off set
one finger with like when you fold your hands togethere. Every other ide
drive I've seen had pins on the drives and holes on the calbe that they fit
into. So, can anybody tell me how or where or if, I can get an interface
that goes from the drive's fingers, to pins. I've been unable to locate
anything like that on the internet.
Thanks in advance for any help with this.

Could you post a link to a photo of it?

Thanks a million for taking the time to reply so quickly to my question.
Guess what? BigJim hit the nail on the head. It is an adapter. I just
grabbed it and pulled on it and: ta dah! off it came.
Thanks again,
you guys are the greatest.
