Hi, folks. I'm new to this forum and hope that someone can
I have my HP OfficeJet 710 connected to a Dell PC running XP Home Edition.
The 710 hasn't gotten much use in many months. When I recently tried to print a document, nothing printed. It was as if I was using white ink. I bought a clean-up kit and cleaned all of the copper connections. I also got as much ink as possible off the rollers and ran a wet felt sheet (alcohol?) that came with the clean-up kit. I started to get some ink on the printed page, but the best that I can get is for the 710 to print the bottom half-to-2/3 of each text line. I also replaced the B&W cartridge. The test printouts were all in B&W.
Any thoughts on why the top half of each printed line is not printing would be greatly appreciated. I just want to use teh 710 to send/receive faxes, so I have no illusions that I can get heavy use from such an old unit. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Rich
