Walter R.

My faithful HP 710 finally broke down (only get a flashing red light, no
matter what I do).

Trouble is, I just bought 3 new cartridges. Are there any other HP printers
that use this 45A black cartridge? Maybe I can pick up a used one at the
Salvation Army.

Thanks

A lot of them use the 45 but the newer printers after 9xxx have smaller
carts now

You mean like HP models in the 985 etc range? So I should stay away from
them?

I like the 45 A cartridge because refills are cheap, it has a huge black ink
supply and most of my (medium volume) printing is done using black text
only.

If you have extra cartridges, just look on the package for a list of
printers that it will fit.

Hi Rina

Good point, but, the printer broke while I was using expensive HP original
cartridges. Not all connectivity in life is causal in nature. I think I'll
blame this on the Chaos Principle

I was just wondering... the truth is I'm having some issues with my 970 cxi
and the 45A cartridge, that's what brought me here and to read your post.

I had a 970cxi with blinking light that won't go out and the carriage
pointed to the 45 cartridge. So I just bought a new 45 cartridge fro
$30 with my finger crossed that it would fix the problem. Presto, it
did and my blinking light is out - at least for now.
