HP 630 Office Jet 4 in 1 print,copy,fax,scan

Is the above subject hardware HP 630 4 in 1 compatible
with Windowa XP? My daughter just loaded the software for
our HP Office Jet from the HP CD Rom Disc onto her Windows
XP Operating system resident on her new CompaQ computer
and couldn't get the HP to print. She then removed the HP
program she had just installed, found HP 600 series on the
XP menu and installed it. The printer now works but the
scanner does not. Are we going to have to get a new 4 in 1
maqchine or is there a way around this problem. Thanks

Perhaps your CD does not have the latest XP software. Go to the following
HP site http://tinyurl.com/icbi and download the XP software/drivers (or
order the CD). Read carefully the instructions on the above page,
especially the part about uninstalling previous printer software before
installing the new.

The HP600 series drivers included with XP consist of just the basic drivers
while will make the printer work ... but not the advanced features.
