I'd be interested in hearing from anyone with experience with a HP 4890.

My 4890 is shifting shadow areas on 35 mmm positives & negatives from
shades of gray to shades of blue.

I am using latest HP scanning software (ver. 7.0). The colour balance I
set in PREVIEW mode is not accurately maintained in final scan.

Have been dealing with both US & Canadian support people for the past
few weeks, and they've replaced the scanner once, and also exchanged the
TMA unit for the latest version - I suspect that the pre-calibration is
not being done properly.

Any ideas or suggestions?
