there is a way to save on file the output?
The printer is part of a extranet, has is own print server on board but I
don't know if the print job comes from local server or outside my lan (the
central server).
it's hard but thanks anyway...
If you just want to reprint the file, you may be able to add memory or
an EIO hard drive to the 4050 for "mopier" use. The printer then saves
print files, and you can reprint copies of them.
If you want to save the file as something that you can get to with a
computer, you'll probably have to replace the printer with a computer
acting as a print server. The print jobs would actually go to it, and
then you could use the files or send them on to the printer. The
captured files may not be useful, because they'll be either PCL or
PostScript, and not easily edited.
A better solution would be setting the printing computer to generate
print jobs on disk in the first place, and retrieving the files. Then
you can print them when needed.
