Hy
i am trying to install a HP Laserjet 3500n (network printer) an Vista Beta
and it does not work. Have you any ideea how can I get it working?
Thanks

It´s working (an i can print on it from a Win XP PC) but i can not install it
(the driver) on Vista.

I´v tried with the supplied CD and I´m getting a message error. I tried
manually and it´s also not working

I can not install it. I´v tried with the supplied setup program i´v tried
mannualy (search, and then I gave the IP adress of the printer) and i get a
error message.

i can not install it on a Vista PC. I tried this with the supplied CD and
also mannualy (add printer/gave the IP address of the printer) and i´m
getting a error message

The printer works fine and i can still print on a WIN XP PC

You'll have to check with HP and see if they have a driver for Vista. You
can also report it via the Feedback link on the Vista desktop.

Hi all, I too have been trying to get my HP 3500n to work. I am not sure how
I got the actual 3500 drivers on prior attempts to install them (did start
with a clean install of Vista), but everytime I tried to add the 3500 itself,
it asked me if I wanted to replace the existing drivers - once you get to
this point, you should be good with any drivers that are on the machine. (1)
Once you have some sort of 3500 drivers on the machine for the 3500, (2)
install the HP Color Laserjet 4600 PCL 6 driver under LPT1. Finish the add
printer wizard. (3) Next Add an IP Network Port using the IP address the
3500 is located on. (4) Finally, open up the properties on the 4600 you
installed earlier and (a) change the port under the ports tab to the IP
network port you previously added and (b) change the driver under the
advanced tab to the 3500 driver that is in the drop down box (should be there
from previous 3500 install attempts, but no guarantee since I have been
trying to get the thing to work over the past week). That's it - print a
test page and it should work. Let me know if anyone has success. Thanks,
Josh Stan
