HP 3330 and a router?

We recently upgraded from our Brother 1240 laser printer at work to
the HP 3330 all in one. We have it plugged into our SMC Barricade
router.
My question is, will this setup work? I heard from someone that we
can use it to print, but to operate it from a pc ( to fax from
desktop) wont work. Is this true?

Also..it seems when we print, the printer gets a load of data, and
when faxes come it, it forgets to print pages we assigned to the
printer, and either we get white pages or garbled text on what we
printed.

Any suggestions?

No. The print server in a router is for printing only.
Suggest you get a PC for it, or hang it off one of the existing PCs.
