I run this printer with perfect results on '95 and NT -
toolbox and print preview all visible. I now have a new
laptop with XP home and the printer doesn't work (apart
from printing twice at an erratic scale - then nothing.
Because the printer is not recognised I can't access the
troubleshooting notes from the screen. There is no XP
driver on the HP website and my HP CD drivers only cover
Win 2000. Given all of the security issues and memory
requirements, I have doubts about XP. Can anyone cheer me
up please?

Hello

If win2000 and XP do not support that printer your
pretty much out of luck. But give the link below a try

The really great news is that you can buy a very much nicer
printer for very little money.

Thank you for the responses to my earlier plea for
assistance. The HP website/support line directed me
towards drivers already within XP, plus a small
adjustment to properties, and now all is well.
