Hi you all:
I have a problem with a HP 2175 multifunction. Today, when I have swithed it
on for printing a document it says: "Remove and doublecheck the cartridge".
But I am sure they are original cartridges ( I use it from time to time, and
I don't see the point in refilling them).

Has someone faced this problem?

You could clean the contacts and put it back in, which you probably
already did. I suspect it's telling you to change the cart. I love
these generic HP messages. What the heck are you going to check about
the cartridge? Yep, it's the same color as I put in last time.
Actually, if it were mine I could weigh it and know whether the ink was
gone or not.

This is an indication that the cartridge failed the electrical test the
printer does before it tries to use the cartridge. This may happen due
to an issue with the cartridge contacts or due to an actual failure, or
due to the wrong cartridge being installed. The first case may be
corrected by removing the cartridge and replacing it, the latter require
replacement of the cartridge.

See
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/...=en&cc=us&dlc=en&product=90809&query=PSC 2175
for some troubleshooting tips. If these do not solve the problem and a
new cartridge is required check the warranty date for the cartridge as
shown at:
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/genericDocument?lc=en&cc=us&docname=bua02014
If the cartridge is still under warranty contact your dealer or HP for a
replacement.
