When I install a 97 tricolor cartridge, it prints a PERFECT test page, then I get a message that tells me that the tricolor is an incorrect cartridge.-Just wondering, is there a way around this message? Can I force it to use this cartridge?

Oh, I found an error meassage that reads:
10414=TAPAS_TS_ERROR_PRINT_CARTRIDGE_ERROR,HH,tr_AIO04,0,Window2Thanks,
-m.

The HP 1510 printer uses 342 or 343 tri-colour cartridges so thats your problem.

Although the 97 may fit and print a test page, the chip on it is telling your printer it has the wrong one installed - go out and buy the right one and it should work fine.

Since it prints a perfect test page after I pop in the cartridge...I bet there's a value in the regitry that can be altered so the "chip" wouldn't kick out an error/incompatible message. Obviously it "can" use it, it's just restricted from doing so.

-Not knocking your answers guys, I appreciate the input but I know which catridge I am supposed to use; else I'd just be asking why won't my printer work rather than about how I can force it to work. And I have a the correct cartridge for my hp, guess I'm just bored...figure what the heck?!?

Maybe there's a driver that'll make it capable of using this cartridge, or I know...I'll just buy the printer that uses this cartridge, lol.

Any ideas (other than to tell me to kiss off). Hey even that's a response.

Sorry - no idea.

Good luck with your search :)
