i haven't had much trouble out of this little all in one. but today, for
some reason, i can't get it to power on. yes, it's plugged in. i checked
that first. (smart
guys)
does anyone have any suggestions?
None other than routine small electrical appliance trouble shooting:
Plug a known working electrical device (e.g., a lamp) into the power
outlet to confirm that the outlet is live
Check the printer's power cord (i.e., disconnect and reconnect -- both
ends, assuming it detaches from the printer; if the power cord does
detach from the printer, substitute another power cord and/or check the
power cord for electrical continuity with a multimeter or other suitable
device).
If those rudimentary checks don't solve the problem, probably either the
power supply or the on/off button has failed. In order to confirm that,
however, you would have to partially disassemble the printer and be
comfortable checking 110-120 v (assuming you're in U.S.) circuitry.
This is an over-3-year-old inexpensive p/s/c. It's time for a new one.
