Hi all -

I have an HP LaserJet 1100 and I have a couple of questions.

(1) I've had the printer for a while and really like it. I'm debating
buying the scanner option for it. Do any of you have the HP 1100 with the
scanner accessory ? Do you like it ? How well does the scanner work ? Is
it worth the purchase ? Where is the best place to buy the scanner
accessory ?

(2) I am having trouble printing large pages. I think it has to do with my
set up/options but I can't figure it out. The problem is the printer will
not properly print any page that is larger than 1M. If I'm printing a
multiple page document - all pages less than 1M, will print fine but any
page over 1M will not. If I reduce the size of the page to be less than 1 M
it will print fine.

The printer has 2M of memory. The problem is displayed in a variety of
symptoms. Typically, the page will have blank lines across the page that
are approximately 1/4 inch wide.

As always - THANKS for the help !
John

The copier/scanner accessory for the HP LaserJet 1100 (with the
accessory, it becomes the 1100A) works quite well for me but, as a
home user, my needs are very modest, as I don't use it for anything
other than personal needs. It is not used in a business environment.
IMO, it was a very worthwhile investment, as I paid about $89 for it
two years after I had the printer and, after two more years' use, I
feel that I've gotten my money's worth out of it. I still use it all
the time.

As far as where to buy it, if you can find a dealer on the Internet
(as I did), you should be able to get a good deal on it, as I don't
believe the 1100 is sold any longer. Failing that, eBay should yield
one, if you can't find it from a dealer at a price that's reasonable.

Good luck!
