Hello,

I am looking for a file on our network (15 workstations of
various OS)and Windows 2000 Server. How can I scan the
entire network with workstations in one operation to look
for a particular file(s).

Using the search function on the server does not allow me
to browse the entire domain, I can only pick one client PC
at a time.

I am looking to accomplish this either from the server or
any indivisual workstation.

TIA,
Glenn

step 1, visit shareware.com
step 2, search for 'network file search'
step 3, try out the free downloads it finds and see if they work for what
you need.
step 4, register the one you like

there are probably other places and tools not listed there, a google search
may find more, but may also find lots of chaff to sort through.
