Howto print test page

Hi --

I have an old HP Laserjet 4p that I think was working perfectly. Would like
to print a test page but can't remember how and cannot find manual. Any
suggestions?

On the IIIp its Alt and test on the front buttons, is that any help?

Offline, Menu through to Test Menu, Item to Test Menu, Enter
(that's the 4M, but will probably be the same for the 4P).

Offline, Menu through to Test Menu, Item to Test Menu, Enter
(that's the 4M, but will probably be the same for the 4P).
 
Just wait until the green light comes on. Push the button on the top. It
will do a self test
which includes a test page.
