Howto? Discrete Sent or Draft folders for IMAP accounts.

I currently use Thunderbird for my several IMAP accounts across
multiple domains. I like that Thunderbird allows for each IMAP
account to have it's own Sent and Draft folders and that it's smart
about saving to the "correct" Sent folder for each account as
appropriate.

I've been successful setting up my IMAP accounts to work under Outlook
2003 SP2, but I'm not able to find controls to have the Sent/Draft
functionality work the same as Thunderbird.

This is kind of a deal killer for me to move back to Outlook and I'd
really appreciate guidance on this one!

Thanks!
Dave.

You can, of course, have any folders you want. However, with Outlook, there
is exactly one set of default folders and it is in that set that the Drafts
and Sent Items folder that Outlook handles automatically reside. If you
want to save your draft items on the IMAP server, then you must create the
folder there and specifically save the drafts to that folder. Likewise, for
Sent Items, you need to create the folder on the IMAP server and then use a
rule to save outgoing messages to that folder.

Outlook 2007 supports it but earlier versions do not.
