If you can't get it to work, start/run msconfig from normal mode. Go to the
boot.ini tab and enable the /safeboot option. You will need to undo this
when you are done working in Safe mode in order to restart normally.

Hit F8 when a white bar starts progressing at the bottom of your screen. It
will take u to Advance Boot Options Screen and then u can select Safemode
from there. The time u have to hit F8 is really less, so you need to make
sure u hit it as soon as u see the white bar.
