Please Help

I am trying to use color on my access database. What I want to do is
highlight one column so that it is a different color from the rest and then
alternate it. If anyone knows how I can do this please help...I would really
appreciate it.

Take a look at the "Conditional Formatting" feature under Format on the menu.
You can display the data on a form, and use conditional formatting on certain
records, based on the value of some field in the record.

Note that Tables are not designed for data display and don't have formatting
features like this: use a Form instead.

What will having alternating colors-in-columns allow you to do? You're
asking about a solution, but haven't described the business need or problem
to be solved.

John's response points out that it is not a good idea to be working directly
in the tables -- that's how you handle a spreadsheet, but it isn't
appropriate when using a relational database. "Appropriate" may not be the
most precise term, but it implies that there are other, more effective ways
....

Good luck!
