I am using Outlook 2002 to access my email accounts. How
would I use two computers in my home to access my pop
accounts? When I pop an account in one computer, then how
would I set up the other so that it can also pop the same
email message on the same server? In other words I want
access to the email message from both computers even when
one has popped the message. Thanks

Install an IMAP-server on one of these computers or your server if you have
one. That's the best. Then you can even change the mail reader and operating
systems without loosing your mails.

1) Click on "Tools|Email Accounts"
2) Select "View or change existing email accounts"
3) Click on "Next"
4) Select the account you want to work with
5) Click on "Change"
6) Click on "More settings" (bottom right)
7) Click on "Advanced" tab
8) Below "Delivery" (at the bottom), check "Leave a copy of messages on
the server". You might also check "Remove from server when deleted from
Deleted Items" (If you have Outlook setup to automatically empty the
"Deleted Items" folder when exiting, perhaps you should remove that
option if you plan on keeping messages on the server, so you can
explicitly delete mail from your ISP inbox using either of your
machines)
9) Click on "OK"
10) Click on "Next"
11) Click on "Finish"

Make sure the email program you use on BOTH machines is set up this way.
Then you can explicitly delete mail from your local "Deleted Items"
folder using either machine.
