What astounds me is that people who reply "Me too!" to opening posts
can't figure out how to see *their* "replies". Surely they would figure out
to expand the opening post's thread in order to see that their "Me too!"
had arrived. Hopefully web interface users then would figure out also
that they have to click on the plus sign ([+] if present) to see replies to
*their* posts.
In most cases I ignore "Me too!" posts which have been made after
correct answers have been given to the opening question unless they
specifically refer to those answers because I think that that little flash
of insight is likely to occur when they try to find their post.
OTOH some people seem to act as if the individual threads are private
exchanges between the poster and the responders and not the group
discussions that they are meant to be. In that case, if there is another
bleat at the same level I may take pity and point out what they seem
to be missing. However, as that requires a private E-mail which
unfortunately reinforces the idea of private exchanges it is not something
that I do very often. Also, of course, the recent switch to anonymous
posting has made even that option impossible.
