Hi,
I saw that there're some posts will jump to the front
page whenever there's new reply, but my question stay
there forever, and after a few hours, the posts already
pushed back to 5th or 6th pages; and I have to re-post
that again.
But someone did answer my post, how come it doesn't pop
to the front page??

Andrew

It's a newsgroup so there is no such thing as pages.

andrew, maybe you are referring to bulletin boards or forum sites. when
there are replies, the topic jumps to the top of the "page".

but that does not hold true to newsgroups. the main threads are ordered by
date and time of posting. after posting a querry or a message, you might
want to flag your message so that it would be easier for you to find out if
there have been replies.

i hope this explains it a bit.

there is if you're using the horrible web interface......

O brother, every time I see a post like this the source is obvious - someone
using a web interface as their newsgroup newsreader. If only they would
learn from the thousands of posts on the subject, that a real newsgroup
newsreader such as OE will make NG navigation ever so much easier.

Want to make a bet that the OP will never see my response?
