I would like to understand a couple of things about Windows XP Home. I'd like the chance to
read about it in the knowlege base before posting questions In a news group. Problem is, I
don't know how to find what I'm looking for. I'm looking for the following 2 things:

I would like to understand better what the folders in Documents and Settings are for.
I am the owner and sole user of my computer. I would like to understand why there
are folders for Administration, All users, user, etc. and what each folder is for.

I would also like to understand what all the permissions are for in Safe Mode, and how
to manipulate them if I choose to.

But, I'd like the opportunity to read about this on my own. Is that possible? How do I get
to the information? And how do I phrase what I am looking for so that I am pointed in
the right direction in the Knowlege base?

Thanx

Larry,
The easy way to find it is to use Google, and type in windows knowledge
base.
There are excellent books written, any large book shop will have technical
book section on windows, and perhaps your local library have some.
It may not be a good idea to have lessons from 'The School of Hard Knocks',
if you mess up the files that you are not so familiar....,the water gets
deep really quick.
Rob.

Wes do you have a brother that is a MCT named Eric?

The Easiest way is to to use Help and Support on
your Start Menu first. It has links to the KB.

No. Not even a cousin as far as I know. Never heard of him until I saw some of his posts.
