I have a simple client contact details form set up in access but want to have
the personal details in a section that is only visable if you click on it -
eg: a button that says Personal details, that when its opens contains all the
personal information (from the table) and can then be closed again. I think
that tab control is the way to do this but can't seem to work it properly and
none of the books talk about tab control much. Please help.

The key to putting controls onto TabControl pages is that only *new* controls
can be inserted by dragging them onto the page. To do that you bring the
desired page to the front and then when you drag the new control over it the
page should highlight (turn black) to indicate that the cursor is positioned
properly before you "drop" the control.

For *existing* controls you have to Cut them to the clipboard, select the
desired page, meaning it is not just on top but you also have to click on the
tab portion of it, then Paste.

To test that you inserted the controls properly you should see two behaviors.
One is that the controls are only visible when that page is on top and the other
is that if you move the entire TabControl that you see the controls also move.
