How to use removable hard disk in another PC

Hi;

I try to use my removeable hard disk(with caddy) that is
belong to my older PC, in my new Computer. What is the
best idea to be able to boot with that? as i knowmy new
PC has different hardware configuration, i tried to use
XP cd with REPAIR option but for any reason does not work
and ask for admin password!

any help is appreciated,

Run Sysprep (see Deploy.cab tools on XP CD), on old PC.
Remove caddy from old PC and insert into new PC, it should then detect
new hardware and install them (better than the Repair install).
Make sure BIOS in new PC is set to Auto for IDE drives.
