How to use optical mouse scrolling wheel on an Access form

When users with an optical mouse wheel use the wheel for scrolling, the
Access form attempts to save the record. How can this be prevented?

Since the mouse wheel scrolls from record to record, Access is saving the
record because it is normal for it to save a record when you navigate to the
next record. To stop it, you will need to turn off the mouse wheel
functionality.
