how to use external monitor

My sony notebook's LCD monitor is broken.

I want to make it use external monitor
right after startup. Is there any setting
or script that I can use.

Otherwise, I have to open the notebook and
hit the Fn+F8 key for every startup.

there should be some type of docking station the notebook
can be mounted to that connects to monitor.
