how to use different LAN & internet icon in taskbar

The problem is i am most of the time connected to LAN & many times to
internet ,while disconnecting i have to go and really look for the right icon
then right click and then click on disconnect.
If i could differentiate the colour of two icons or use a different icon for
either of two,job will be little less time consuming & irritating.

Any suggestions?

Why do you bother to "disconnect" from the LAN? Just hide the LAN icon and
your troubles are over.
