Hi,
I'd like manually to update my AVG Pro v.7.
I went to www.grisoft.com and I downloaded the latest update but it
has a "bin" extension. How can I launch it?
This update is: u7avi135.bin
Thanks Fogar

Have you told AVG to manually update, and told it to get the update from a
directory on your drive?

Move the downloaded file to c/program files/grisoft/avg*/update and then run
AVG. It will automatically update from the bin file in the update folder.

Put it in the update folder.
Run the program.

I'm sorry but I haven't the Update folder in Grisoft/AVG/
Why?

From some of the other posts, I deduce that when you set
AVG to "update manually" it may create the needed folder.
....if not, perhaps you could create it yourself.

Why?

If the "avgupdate.bin" file is on your desktop or some other place that you
can point AVG to,
right click on the AVG icon in the task bar and choose "run avg anti-virus"
then click "service", "update", "from a folder", then point AVG to the place
where you have the .bin file and click ok.
