Generally it only takes plugging it in.
To get a better answer ask a newsgroup devoted to computer hardware.
This is the MS Access (the database program) newsgroup. Try
annexcafe.general.user2user newsgroup for example.
When you ask, be sure to include your operating system (like Windows NT)
and the make and model of your computer and mother board. They will need
that to determine what kind of memory you need. Also they may need to know
what brand and type and size of memory your computer has right now. They
may be able to help you figure those things out. If you think finding all
that out is going to be too difficult, take it into a computer store and ask
them to add memory.
BTW are you really sure you need more memory and that is all you are
going to need. Many times people will add additional memory trying to
upgrade only to find out that they really need a whole new computer.
