Laurice

Hello,

I am a novice. I have windows 2000 professional and I
can't seem to be able to open a zip file. Everytime I try
to do that a window comes on asking me to click on the
program I want to use to open the file. I click on one and
it says it can't open it. I tried every program on that
list, no luck. What to do? Please help.

In Windows 9x or 2K you have to have a 3rd party zip file program.
You can get an evaluation* copy of WinZip at www.winzip.com
*evaluation copy = free with nags to register
or you can find several other free "file compression programs" on the web.

Hi Laurice :-)

Get the WinZip program here and install it. Follow the instructions in the
Help files on how to use it and set it up.

WinZip 9.0 SR-1 - Free version

If these steps do not resolve your problem, please post back to this thread
with the details and any error messages.

Hope this helps

Jan :)
