My hard drive was dead yesterday and I bought a new one.
After installing Win98 SE, I tried to set the home page to
msn.com from IE. I clicked "Tools"-->"Internet Options"--
"Home Page". Somehow, "Use Current", "Use Default",
and "Use Blank" are blocked. Could tell me how to make
them active and I need to change the default page. Is this
a virus? Is there any way that I can run from MS Start to
change the registration settings?

Hi,
Go to Dealing with Unwanted Spyware and Parasites:
http://mvps.org/winhelp2002/unwanted.htm Scroll down to
"Various Registry Fixes" You will find a REG file to correct this.

Or, if you use Spybot S&D, open Spybot in Advanced mode and check the
Immunize settings. You may have placed this restriction inadvertently.

If you were on the web even briefly, you should check for parasites and
other malware which may have caused this, if Spybot didn't.
