How to uninstall WinXP

Merely 2 months after using my new Presario X1031 powered with Centrino
technology, my notebook is giving me hell of a problem! With numerous errors
and crashes unsolvable even to the Compaq technical support team, the only
solution they gave was to re-install the whole darn operating system - new
installation, not the "repair" mode which I'd tried many futile times!

While I re-install WinXP, I chose to install into another directory "WINXP"
instead of overwriting my existing installation in "WINDOWS", simply because
during the installation process WinXP Setup warned that all existing
personalised folders "might" be deleted (they are at choosing words!). Now
everytime I boot up my notebook I'll have TWO operating system to choose to
startup from.

My question is, how can I uninstal any one of it. I tried deleting all
relevant windows folders but the multiboot menu still exist (obviously some
hidden system files I'd missed).

Please help...

Well at this point you might just want to make a copy of the files you want
on your system to a CD and format both copies of XP off the lap top and
start with a "clean" disk and re-install.

anyway.. i thought compaq did supply you a set of Recovery CDs that
could let you install the whole darn thing without "rescueing" it. Get
what i mean?

Compaq's only answer if they do not know whats wrong.
'Have you tried reinstalling from the recovery CDs?' - Every time I called
Compaq no matter what. BIOSes failing POST, etc..

Their helpdesk seems to have gone downhill since HP took over.
