how to uninstall epson 880 printer

i am running xp pro, fully updated. i cannot completely uninstall my
printer.epson 880. when i remove it using add/remove menu,the epson folder
is still on hd. it contains all that it did before uninstall. also in epson
folder are 6 subfolders,all empty. these subfolders will not allow me to
delete, move or rename them. i have tried killbox and unlocker programmes
but nothing seems to work. the printer is working fine but i wanted to do a
complete re-install of the printer to try and remove these folders but am
unable to do so. any ideas from ng would be welcome
