I'm not sure what's going on with your form, as it oughtn't to be
requerying or shifting the focus to the first record in the absence of
code to make it do so. However, you can remove the effects of your sort
this way:

1. Open the form in Design View

2. Open the property sheet for the form.

3. Go to the Data tab of the property sheet.

4.Delete whatever is present on the Order By line of the property sheet.

5. Close the property sheet.

6. Save the form.

When you open the form again, the sort you previously imposed should be
gone.
