1)Where is the option to NOT have excel automatically
create a hyperlink every time you type a url in a table
cell? This is annoying as hell.

2) Where is the option to NOT have Excel completely
ignore pre-esisting cell formatting and automatically
change the font size to 10 point Arial every time it
automatically creates a hyperlink (that you didn't want
it to create in the first place)?

Hi Cliff,
Rather than preceding with space, if you plan ahead the
normal method is to prefix with the single quote.

For myself I don't like taking the extra effort, to precede
the data, or to use Ctrl+z which brings you back to the
cell you just left. So I just let them be created and then
delete them all at once with a macro assigned to a menu.

I think even if I had Excel 2002 and could turn off the option I'd still
do the same way, because it is easier to delete them then to
figure out which ones I might want and recreate them with a macro,
essentially simply reentering the data..
