Do you talk about those .msg files? I was just about to write a
converter to html, but something came across (currently writing a GUI to
my microscope picture stitching software).
If you do not find anything appropriate, please let me know, so that
this will be next ;).

Sorry. My bad. I misunderstood the question/comment.

However, in terms of the TYPE of file, however, according to the procedure
you described above, my options are those two (e.g., txt or nws).
This applies to ng posts. As for e-mails, following your
procedure one has (in XP) these options:
Mail (*.eml)
Text Files (*.txt)
Unicode Text Files (*.txt)
HTML Files (*.htm; *.html)

Perhaps you could save it as html then convert it... using format in OE...
copy it into a new message with html format? I dunno...

Hi ,

I am not the OP.

Another option is to use oe2mbx (mail to txt convertor) ,
problem is that the exe file is not easy to find ,
if i am not wrong.

A tool for converting mails as html files is MHonArc ,
i did use it a long time ago , do not remember exactly how it works.
