on my old laptop I had MS offic suite 98 upgraded to office 2000. I then
added the upgrade version of FP 2000. My problem now is I have the upgrade
FP version but do not know what file it is searching for as it requires the
previous verison which is on my old laptop.
Does anyone know the file I need to tranfer over that has this info? Or a
phone number i can call? I have the number that charges $35 for but I don't
think I should have to pay for something I have. I just don't know which
file it is looking for.

Any help? thanks
Sue

1. Is the laptop running Windows 2000 SP3 or higher or Windows XP, as you must be running one of
them to install FP2003

2. You should be able to use the FP2000 CD as the qualifying product, just insert in CD drive and
point the dialog to it.

You don't "transfer" anything. When it asked you for the qualifying product,
you need to put the disk of the old version of FrontPage in the drive and
point to it. If you no longer have the disk, well, then you're up a very
famous creek.

It needs the CD from the previous version of Frontpage - which I assume is
Frontpage 98 (??).

To use the upgrade you must have been using (and have in your possession) a
previous version that qualifies for the upgrade.

You should be able to use the FP2000 CD.
