How to totally stop 'synchonization' for My Documents

For my students, I redirect My Documents to \\server\home\%username%.
The problem is that students are sharing the accounts for a student lab
(WinXP). When one student finish his work and he attempts to log off, a
message is displayed stating that it needs to wait other students with
sessions that are opened to close their documents so that synchronization
can occurr. That is causing problems.

How can I totally have folder redirection but eliminate synchronization ? I
researched policies for that but I couldn't find. I would like to have My
Documents redirected to a server, but people should be able to read+write
data on the fly to avoid those sync issues at log off.

Please advise.

The way it is now:
User configuration\Administrative Templates\Network Offline Files\
Disable user configuration of Offline Files=enabled
Syncrhonize all offline files before logging off=disabled

However when students log off, they still are getting a message box
"Synchorizing" and from there if other students are logged on and with files
open they get that "critical" messages that states that sessions are still
open for such and such files. That scares users.

What am I missing to turn off that sync feature completely ?

If a Win2000 domain, on XP client machines go to gpedit.msc, User Conf, Admin Templates, Network, Offline Files and enable "Do not automatically make redirected folders available offline"

In a 2003 domain this can probably be done from a domain GP.
