Hi,

Is there a way to tell which version of an audio codec I have?
I'm having some problems with Windows Media Player and
Winamp not playing the sound for some downloaded .avi
files.

Thanks,
Gary

There are a few tools which will attempt to (and usually
wil) identify the codec a particular file needs. So, it
doesn't really matter what you have, only to take it one
file at a time- when you have a file that won't play, add
that codec as indicated.
