Hi;
I have 6 SCSI HD drives in my system as well as one EIDE drive. The EIDE
drive is just the one that holds the boot.ini file - it's used for nothing
else. My system also has two drive lights - one for EIDE and one for SCSI.
The thing I'm noticing is that the SCSI drive light is on most of the time.
In fact, it almost looks like it's permanently on - even when the system is
idle. I'm running Win2kAdvSrvr and also dual-boot XP. When on the XP side of
the machine the light is almost always off.
I have some serious software on the Win2K side of the machine and I suspect
it's always doing something with the disks. I'd like to narrow it down and
find out exactly what is continually accessing the disks. Does anyone know
how to do that? I haven't a clue as to how to find out what is doing what
with the hard drives
