How to stop website from trying to connect when I access C drive?

When I access my C drive, each of my Websites tries to connect three times
each by presenting a "connect to www..." log on screen. For each site, I have
to cancel three times before the screen stops coming up. This occurs on both
of my computers. How can I stop this or turn it off?

How are you accessing your C Drive? Can you give us step by step examples
of what you are doing?

I click on "My Computer" from the desktop / Local disk (c:) / Document and
Settings; then a prompt window comes up (about 4" by 3") with a header of
"Connect to www.cuttingedgeproductions.com" with a "User name" and "Password"
field. I "alt;F4" three times to make the prompt stay away, but then a new
window pops up to "Sign in with Windows Live ID" with a "Sign-in name" and
"Password" field. That's gone with one "alt;F4," but then another "Connect to
www., etc" window comes up. As I've five Web sites I manage from these
computers, this is a lot of alt;F4! All these prompts cycle through even
though I've closed the original "My Computer" command completely.

Thanks Dave!

Go into "my network places" and delete the items in there that may be
causing conflicts.
when you reconnect to these sites again through FrontPage they'll be
replaced (if you check the save UN/PW box).
Maybe that will help.
it's odd that you'd get log-on prompts in windows explorer through your C
drive.

Glad it worked for you.
that line in my signature wasn't meant specifically for you. it's just
something that's in all my signatures.
people have been disliking it's presence lately. :-)

If you put the link under your name above the contact info, it'll be more
standard and less confusing ;-)
