How to stop programs from automatically starting up at bootup

Hi,

How do I modify which programs begin at startup. A few programs
automatically begin when I boot up, but I would rather that they didn't.

First, open the program in question and check to see if it has an option to
start when Windows starts. If so, disable that option.

Next, go to Start/Run and type: msconfig and press OK. Click the Start
Up Tab and you will see a list of programs that start up at boot time.
Remove the check mark from any program that you do not want to start.

Additionally, go Start/All programs and open Startup and delete any unwanted
entries.
