how to stop previous entries from appearing in a drop down

does anyone know how to disable the function where for example you previously
googled snake, sandwich, and salad and when you go to put in a new search for
salamander and when you hit the s all the previous s entries show up
underneath. i would like to get rid of this. it always brings up ss numbers
and so forth. i dont want that.

Go to Control Panel and double click on Internet Options.
Click on the Content tab.
Click on the AutoComplete button.
Remove the check marks from the boxes next to the feature you
wish to disable.
Hit the "Clear forms" and "Clear passwords" buttons if you want
to remove past entries.
Note: Using the "Clear forms" button will remove previous
search items from Google.
