I have uninstalled Google desktop because it was causing a few problems in
other places. Now, whenever I launch Outlook, I get an error message:

Microsoft Office Outlook: The add-in "C:\Program Files\...\Google Desktop
Search\..." could not be installed or loaded. This problem may be resolved by
using Detect and Repair on the Help menu.

First, I tried Detect and Repair... it tells me to reinstall Google Desktop

I would like Outlook to start up with out trying to associate with Google
Desktop. I want to remove it as an add-in.

How?

Thanks so much!

Good day Rara,

Just encountered the same problem. You need to access the well-hidden
Add-in manager under Outlook /Tools / Options menu, then uncheck the
Google add-in. Navigate to the Add-ins menu by following instructions
on this web page:

Have a great day!
