Once applied the latest security patches from Microsoft, OL on our VB app
client machines keep popping up dialog box asking for permission to send
mail using OL. Is there anyway to by pass this programmatically or by
configuring OL client?
Thanks a million.

Hello Bill, I don't think so, and I don't think there is a registry
setting either. But having just retired (from an IT helpdesk position)
I know our department seriously looked into this and in the end opted
for "ClickYes" as a workaround until they got the software modified. I
have pasted a hyperlink below.

Thanks Antony. I will definitely try the utility. If I can add it to the VB
app, that would be great.
I wonder why Microsoft provides the option of turning of the dialog for OL
Express while not doing so for OL.
Thanks again.

Uh oh, where did these latest security patches come from... your email? They
are most likely a worm virus.

There has been a worm going around the email system, I myself have recieved
500 emails since this morning (~7:30) containing a worm, saying addressed
from Microsoft and that it's a critical security update. It looks genuine,
but they aren't.
