Somebody sent me a program which I executed. THen my ZoneAlarm told
me that Netwatch wants to connect to the internet. I prevented it.
After that, when I reboot, netwatch wanted to connect to the internet
again. How do I stop netwatch (not preventing it using zonealarm) ?
THanks.

Hi,

Try to un-install this software in the Control Panel
click Add/Remove Programs, select the soft you want to
remove and click remove.
This should cure your problem.

Remove it. For a normal program, click on Add/Remove Programs in the
Control Panel. If it is sneaky malware/spyware, it may not be
visible to XP's Add/Remove Programs panel; if so, try using tools
like AdAware or SpyBot to root it out.

And, shame on you for executing an unknown program -- that's how
virii and the like are spread. At least you had the good sense to
use ZA -- one of my favorite PCcondoms.

Well, can't find it in Add Programs. Must be some register settings.

Some programs don't register their existence with the OS.

Look at the ZoneAlarm logs to get its name. Then, use the OS's Find
function to locate it.

And, as I earlier suggested, fire up AdAware and/or SpyBot to
search for malware/spyware that your AV app does not spot.
You *do* run an AV app, and you do keep its def's updated, right?
