I can't find a setting to stop the MMC lanchpad loading at strtup, and
there is no link to it in the startup folder. How do I stop this
annoying piece of crap?

ever heard of the command msconfig?...if you are running XP...go to the run
command in the start menu...type msconfig and then hit enter.See if it shows
up there.

Even easier than that - the OP can right click on the Launchpad around the
ATI symbol and untick "Load on startup" otherwise the OP can just uninstall
Launchpad. Personally I wouldn't be without it when used with an AIW
graphics card.
