How to stop Media Player starting in "Rip"

Every time I load WMP it starts in the Rip section, which annoys me as it
creates a delay to load until I can eventually switch it to Library -- I
almost never rip. (Logicaly, people will play from their library far more
than rip anyway.)

Also, it insists on loading what it last played, which could be a file off
the web, which takes even longer to find.

Is there a way of setting WMP to start in Library and not to play what it
last played? I can't find any settings that adjust this.

Any wonderful advice would be greatly appreciated. (Perhaps I should switch
players!)

Kind regards
Sam

Just click the Library tab before you exit. It should start with the module that was active when it closed.

No, Sorry. Tried that.

It still opens back at Rip next time I open it.

Always Rip, no matter what.

The only thing it does is to always play what was last playing, but always
in the Rip window.

I'd like to set it to open in the Library window.

Thanks
Sam

Open Media Player and select Tools/Options. Go through all of the options tabs there and make sure that nothing apparent is selected that would cause MP to load with the Rip tab selected. Test different option settings like "Rip CD when inserted" in the Rip Music tab.
